Bolt met the puppies and his playmates for the first time today!
The rambunctious, playful, mischievous, high energy Bolt was shock to see his friends with puppies and just stood there for a minute. He was so quite, mellow, careful and respectful of moms and pups, I was speechless to witness what was happening. Bolt gave Brie a little kiss through the crate and sat around the crate without any movement as if he knew right away that his job is to protect his family! Rolo however didn't want Bolt to come too close and Bolt had a sad face with his head hanging low. He couldn't make eye contacts with Rolo till I encouraged him to sit next to me. It looks as if he was sad to loose his friends to puppies or feeling guilty for whatever reason! The puppies are getting fatter each day and the moms are realizing that the little ones are for real and theirs. I found them more protective of their pups each day. It is absolutely delightful to watch them. It is also very humble experience to see how the moms know what to do as the mother nature takes its own course...
More to come later!

Bolt was carefully introduced to Brie and her puppies today.
He is still very calm and careful around the puppies.
First he gave Brie a little kiss before sniffing at the puppies.
I was curious to see what his reaction would be since there was nothing between the puppies and him this time. Bolt poked around puppies and gave loving licks to his babies.
I still can't believe it is the same dog with unlimited energy who gets into trouble whenever he had any chance. He wouldn't even make a peep sound and every time puppies yelp, he went right to the crate to inspect if all is well.
Bolt is staying with Brie and the pups all night not leaving the site at all time.
This day marks Bolt becoming a Big Daddy!
So proud of everyone!

This morning, we found two of Rolo's puppies with their eyes opened.
Rolo's three puppies have three different colors.
Beige, Dark Fawn and Grey.
None are typical Fawn color puppies and we are very curious to find out what colors they will turn out to be.
One pup I'm carefully watching is the grey one.
Rolo's great grandfather was a dark grey Jindo my breeder said.
If we are so lucky, Rolo might've had a grey Jindo!
Grey Jindos are very rare as White and Fawn Jindos have been stardarized by the Jindo organizations some years ago. Once in a while, due to such strong gene, grey Jindos are born and there are only about 100 grey Jindos in Jindo Island today.
We named the Grey puppy "Tyger Moon" He has a white spot on his chest like the moon bear and had stripes like tigers when he was born. I am keeping my fingers cross for him to keep his grey color even when he grows. The second one, we are calling her the "Lady"
She is also dark but has Rolo's brown undercoat with dark long hair. She doesn't like to be held or touched. We know it because she will tell you loud and clear. The beige one was the first to be born but his eyes are still sealed. I can see him trying to blink even with eyes sealed so it is just matter of day that he will open his eyes.
Brie's pups are doing just as well. Tomorrow will be two weeks since Brie's puppies were born and I'm hoping one of them might open its eyes...
Bolt is a great father licking the puppies whenever he could get to them. Today, Rolo allowed Bolt to come in to her create and lick her puppies for the first time.
Rolo is very protective mom just as all of us!
It is a president's weekend and we are very excited to spend a long weekend with all of the puppies. Soon, their playing pen will be set up and mom's will start potty training.

The puppies now have a play pen set up outside of their crate.
Moms are happy to have a bigger yet protected play areas for the little ones and stretching room for their legs too.
The puppies are teething and I can feel their tiny teeth when they nibble on my fingers.
Now they can see better and their legs are getting stronger, they are constantly on top of each other mouthing, growling and biting.
Brie's puppies are curious about what's outside of their crate and would not be afraid to venture out of their den. Rolo and Brie look very good and healthy for having babies only three weeks ago!
We are trying to spend as much time as we could with the puppies so they can socialize with humans as early as possible.
Soon, we will introduce our cool cat, KitCat, so the puppies could get used to other animals.
